Sushi Vinegar

This was my lunch yesterday. Veggie wrap with humus, cucumbers, romaine, cheese and soy protein...mmmm!

One of my new favorite things is sushi vinegar. While Leisa was here she made me a spinach salad using seasoned rice vinegar (sushi vinegar) and since then I have been hooked. I have tried it on so many things and the potential is great. It has a sweet sour flavor and is very mellow. I do suggest that you find one made with sugar and not high fructose corn syrup. They seem to have a slightly different flavor that most people will not seem to notice but since my 15 year old notices I thought it might be worth mentioning. The vinegar we love is on the left the other is on the right.

Why did I not know about seasoned rice vinegar?

wow your food is always so pretty. My food is never pretty even when I try. Logan's hamster's name is Frosty. He used to have one named Zip and I used to have one named SweetPea, but they both died about a year ago and they never turned white. The little dwarfs are so cute. Logan got a mouse first but it was hyper and not too cute so he traded it for the Winter White Dwarf. missing ya

So nice to talk to you today! I had to run to the grocery store today, so I picked up a bottle of rice vinegar...made sure to buy the one with sugar, not corn syrup. I'll have to try it this week. Thanks for the great food ideas! I learn so much from you! I still love those Bay's English Muffins, thanks to you.
