Felted Snowman

Here is a new addition to our Christmas tree. Yes more felting and still more acorn caps. I am thinking about giving him a scarf and/or twigs for arms. Sometimes less is more, so I will wait and see what I think tomorrow.

Apple Pie

The first pie went out of the house before the camera came out. The second pie did not look as pretty but it sure was yummy! The first pie was cranberry orange. The second was apple with lemon zest and crumb topping. We have some left if you would like to come over for coffee and pie...

Wash Day

We could not find Pearl. Who would have thought she was in the laundry room! She is waiting for the laundry to be done, since some of her toys are being washed.

Black-Eyed Pea Salad
2 cans black-eyed peas (Drain & rinse well)
4 green onions, finely chopped (I use more)
1/2 c. celery, diced (I use more)
2/3 c. red pepper, diced (I use more)
1/2 c. parsley chopped (I use more)
1 jalapeño pepper minced
1/2 c. yellow banana peppers (canned)

Dressing
1/4 c. vinegar (I use more)
1/4 c. olive oil
2 t. Dijon mustard
Salt & pepper to taste

Ikea

The store opened today and yes Paige and I went. I thought it would have been really busy but it seemed like a normal busy day. I think many people avoided it because of all the news coverage and the expected crowds. It might have been busy in the morning but at 4pm it was just fine. How ever the cinnamon rolls were not as good as the ones we have had at other Ikea stores.

5 years later...

We have had this poster for over 5 years. I bought it at a church sale in Omaha with the intentions of framing it and putting it up in our Knotty Pine basement. We put it in a frame tonight and Mr. Hygiene hung it for me in the office. Thanks Stacy!

No, not this chair either...

We have kicked her off the black chair. We have kicked her off the couch. I don't understand why she would think this chair would be different. On a different note, I am getting a slipcover made for the couch out of the fabric you see draped over the chair and under the dog. I love this dog.

Head of the Hooch

We went to Chattanooga Tennessee this weekend for the Head of the Hooch Regatta. I will not bore all of you with a million photos of boats that all look alike after awhile.
