Gator Head Regatta

The Gator Head regatta is named correctly. Notice between the people you can see a gator in the water right in the middle of the race course.

Skylight Peeper

For the first time since we have lived here, Pearl has seen the "Skylight Peeper." It makes a lot of noise when it gets on the skylight, and drives the dog crazy! Crusty has seen it before, but not Pearl. I was glad to have my camera close to get this shot. I only wish I could have gotten a photo of Pearl trying to jump up to get it.

I have collected knitting needles for some time. I love the colors, feel, shape, and I like just having them in a vase like flowers. Heidi sent me a package with a lovely handful to add to my other addiction..."having things that just look pretty."

Stacy thinks that I need an intervention. Felting has taken over and I don't think I can quit. Here is the latest drug of choice...felted acorns.

I thought I would be nice to crusty and make her a felted ball to play with. I rolled the ball across the room she looked at it, smelled it and walked away. Such a nice kitty.

Pumpkin #2

I made this pumpkin using an underlayer of yellow to add some depth to the color. Then I felted a layer of orange and added a few light, wispy strands of deep orange. I also made the stem a little different.


Crusty seemed to like the last pumpkin a lot. I found it in the middle of the living room on the floor this morning. I wish I could have seen where that pumpkin had been batted around last night. She looks so guilty...

Heidi, where is my package...
