Clearwater with my brother Floyd

Floyd had a convention here in Florida Friday and we were lucky to be able to spend the evening with him. We drove over to Tampa, went out to eat with him and then off to Clearwater to see the sunset on the beach.

You always get more than the sunset at the beach. This guy/alien was quite interesting... I wonder what his day job is?

We walked out to the end of the pier, watched some fishermen and the sunset. There were a lot of fish being caught, but they were small. Nothing too interesting but a great place to spend an hour.

Mr. Hygiene looking as handsome as ever.

It was a nice end to the week. I love the Gulf side. The sand is so nice and you get the sunset to top it off. Glad to see my brother even if it was for only a few hours. Wish he could have stayed the weekend and that Lisa could have come along with him, next time right!?

Crew Banquet

Tonight was the end of the year Crew banquet for Paige and the rest of the team. It is a marker for the end of the season and a farewell to the Seniors who are leaving.

Que the tears... Paige was sad thinking about her boys that are leaving. Most of her boat this year was Seniors and she was having a hard time holding it together.

She is also saying farewell to KC a fellow coxin for the men's team. It was nice to have another girl on the team.

Matt.

Mark.

Troy.

Kyle & Preston. The boys will be missed by Paige and I will even miss a few of them, crew boys are good kids to have around.

Jordan is not leaving but I loved his enthusiasm for getting his photo taken so I added him to the post. Thanks Jordan!

Little Lightning Legs

Paige came home from school the other day and told me about her day in P.E. class and I thought I would share... The track coach was out while they were running on the track for class and he stopped Paige and said "Why aren't those little lightning legs running for your school? Little lightning legs would make Lake Brantley go faster." She thought that was cute. New name for Paige "Little lightning legs"

Day at the beach

Sunday we went to the beach close to where we usually go. We found a spot we like a little better and have went there a few times now. It's still is close to Ponce Inlet, only a mile or less up the beach. This is the usual, Stacy with his shoes on, Paige texting and I have everything you could need, want or think of, packed in the cooler. What a nice day it was although it was a little too windy. We all have been exfoliated by beach sand. Still a great day 86° and sunny.

States ~ April 25 & 26th

I have so many great photos from states in Sarasota that I want to share a lot with of them with you. Stacy was Dock Master for awhile and was lucky to have Paige and her boys got to come in to his dock. One of those nice father daughter moments.

They did a great job in this flight. You can see Scott in the front not able to stand up. It took him a few minutes while the oars were being taken off the boat. He really gives it his all not an ounce of energy left to give.

You can tell they were happy with the race. They did not get first but they knew they did their best and could not have done any more and made it into the qualifying race later in the day.

Devin and Elgin came to say hello. They are Christina's kids. Christina is Heidi Steinhagen-Snowdens sister.

Elgin was playing down by the reeds I pointed out the sign to Christina.

The second flight of the day was to see if they would be in the finals the next day. They made it.

I think Marks face shows it all. He is the stroke for the boat.

Game face time.

Here is the last flight for the MJV8.

Stacy looking on. You can hear him think... come on Paige, come on Paige make the boys work...

The last walk off the dock.

Congratulations from Coach. Her smile...

Results for the MJV8
2nd place for scolastic club rowing state wide.
5th over all including club and scolastic rowing state wide.

Word of the day ~ Magnesium

I guess without going into my heath issues I will tell you to look into magnesium. It seems that is is something that I have needed for a long time. Take time to see what it does for us how our bodies use it. If for no other reason than it is interesting.

Masterpiece Classic: Little Dorrit

Over the past few weeks I have been watching Masterpiece Classic on PBS. Every once in a while I get sucked in and find a story that I cant stop watching and this was one. Little Dorrit was wonderful. Not stuffy or boring I enjoyed every bit of it and did not have to fast forward at all. (You know I have no attention span).

The usual three up to no good

Well they were off to church...
