Really?

Do they think it is going to help when it is in the mid 20's? This guy is our neighbor a few doors down he has a lovely yard and did a nice job of tucking in his plants.

I had to laugh as I was driving Paige to school today at all the covered plants. What efforts some people made and I really hope it works for them although when it is this cold for as long as it was and is going to be again tonight I don't think some of the smaller more delicate plants have a chance.

However I will say that this guy might have a chance to save some of his fruit that is left on his trees. When I drove by while it was still a bit dark out this morning I saw colored lights under the blankets. Yep that just might add enough heat to keep the frost off of your oranges. That was a good idea.

But this guy gets the award for best effort. This is a large frame he as been building for a few weeks and now I know why. Just thought he was a little odd but I guess he really loves his plants. He had a ten or twelve of these built all over his lawn in different sizes. Gotta hand it to the guy for loving his plants that much.

Hey Al Gore...

What happened to global warming? Its 32°F here in Florida! I snapped this photo while I was out this morning. I saw this attempt someone was making to save the buds on this little bush and turned my truck around and had to take a photo. Ice in Florida... Yep it must be global warming!

Berry Season!

YUM! The first Strawberries of the season are out here in Florida. I picked them up fresh from the field. The biscuits are fresh from the oven as well, don't you wish you were here! I thought Stacy needed a special treat for getting my Mac back up and running.

A day with Paige

I love it when Paige and I get a chance to have a day to ourselves and today being MLK day Paige had it off from school and we took off to Webster to see what treasures we could find. Had I known that it was the one of the most crowded days there I would have stayed home. There was over 60,000 people there and the back field was packed and over flowed into the north field that I did not know they used.

Way too many people and the prices were jacked up too. I don't mind paying what something is worth but it is a flea market and I don't think you should pay shop prices.

I loved this little green boat but did not think I could hide it from Stacy too well so I left it. I hope this is not something I regret not getting later. It was so cute. I did not get much just a few juice glasses and a New Mexico licenses plate for Stacy's garage wall.

BIG Thanks!

A big shout out to Mr. Hygiene for getting my Mac back up and running. Thanks for saving all of my photos that we thought were lost forever. Yes, I started to cry but Mr. Hygiene saved the day and over 16,000 photos, I know what you are saying 16,000 photos that must be a mistake you have to have more than that. Right? Well that is only for the last 3 1/2 years and only the photos that were on my computer. But anyways I wanted to say thanks for the time spent and thanks in advance for the next time I crash and burn the computer....

They know me so well

I know what your thinking, they got her a knife set? Oh they know me so well not much makes me more happy than something lovely for my kitchen. I love to cook and a good set of tools is a wonderful thing for me. They sit in you hand so nicely and are a pleasure to use. Not to mention that they are beautiful as well. I think now I need to get a new cutting board to go with them.

Thanks Stacy and Paige for a wonderful birthday and a gift I will enjoy forever.

Lights out!

Well it is that time of the year, the lights have to come down. I would like to leave them up all year round but with the sprinkler system kicking on two times a week it is hard to keep the circuit from popping when water gets in the lights. I know it should not do that but it does.

Last year when we left the house when we came back late the sprinkler system had already ran for the night and popped the circuit and it is on the same one as the garage door. Well I did not bring my house key and we could not get into the house... Long story short we learned our lesson.

Anywayyy... I am sad to see the lights down.

Twins!

Last night I made a dbl batch of Sp.K loaf with the intentions to freeze one and bake the other for supper. Well I don't know what I was thinking when I put both pans into the oven. So I called Shelley and said I have two and you can have one. I thought Stacy could drop it off on his way to work but she said she would come over and get it. The great thing about that is she brought her crumb crunchers with her.

Mr. Davis is very handsome and a man on the go! He does have time to flash his dandy smile and bat those eyes on his way passing by.

Miss Jessa is charming, sweet little peach, very intent on doing what she wants. I had to keep re-directing her away from the plugs. I can see how wonderful these little babies are. Shelley is doing a great job I don't know how she is doing it and keeping her wits about her. She is so blessed.

Citrus Bowl ~ aka Capital One Bowl

I love that this has become a tradition here at the Prince house. Not that I love football but because of the Pre-game lunch at the Tiki lounge.

I really wish I could get better photos but I don't think about it until we leave and by then someone is leaving with us and we have to hurry. But here is a few that I took. (this sofa is leopard print)

I don't want this monkey in my house but I like it. I think some one needs to take those beads off of his hat and make him a tassel.

I don't know what it says about me that I want my house to look like this place. It is very kitsch and full of animal print... Love animal print and the sofas are leopard and some are red, love it!

I guess I should blog about the game too. I could really care less about going to the game but I do like to watch people and take photos and Mr. Hygiene loves football so I go and have a great time for him.

Father and daughter bonding...
"Paige this is so great look at where we are sitting can you believe it, seven rows for the players."
"Yep dad, we sat here last year, I remember 50 yard line... that is great... where is my book?"
No, actually Paige likes to go to the games. She likes football a little.

I love the marching band and Georgia has a great one! It is also nice that they have good school colors. Red, black and white. IT makes for good photos and they look so smart in there uniforms.

This guy who handles Uga has a great job or maybe we should call him "Uga's assistant"

Such a pretty white bulldog. I bet pearl would like to hang out with him, I bet that he thinks all these people came just to see him.

The sky cam was pretty interesting to watch. I would like to see how they control it and check that out. It is pretty cool.

Then there is the cheerleaders. I like this guy. I dont know the story behind this guy but he was pretty fun to watch. Yes it is a guy.

Yes before I go here is a photo of the game.
